Winter Days in New Mexico

I never realized how much I missed the four seasons until moving to New Mexico. Growing up in New Jersey I had plenty of snow days when I was in school and of course loved them, having snowball fights, building snow forts, but most of all sleigh riding. I don't know if you've ever watched the movie Christmas Story, but that's exactly how my mother dressed me on winter days, I was bundled up like a burrito probably in pink and I hated the sound that my snowsuit made when I walked. The nylon would rub together and make this hideous sound, swish, swish, swish.   Winter days now are the same as any other day in New Mexico and that means that from one moment to the next you may get any kind of weather. For instance, the other day there were beautiful flurries, but it was too warm for the snow to stick. It was a delight to be able to watch the tiny  flakes swirl about. Now three days later and for the past 3 days each day has been in the high 60s one day even reaching 70°  ... in other words another absolutely gorgeous day in the Southwest.
